Joshua H. Apfel
Director, Private Credit
Josh Apfel is a Director on Bow River’s Private Credit team. In this role, Josh is responsible for fundraising, originating, and managing all stages of the credit investment process from transaction through portfolio management and exit.
Prior to joining Bow River, Josh was a Vice President at Strategic Value Partners, LLC on the Business Development and Investor Relations Team. During his time at Strategic Value Partners, he acted as the firm’s portfolio expert and product expert, oversaw key portions of fundraising efforts and marketing logistics, including running high net worth platform raises, and developed and managed relationships with institutional investors. Before Strategic Value Partners, Josh was an associate in the Restructuring Department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he focused on complex, mid-sized and multi-billion dollar in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
Josh received his J.D. from NYU School of Law and his M.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida. He was admitted to practice law in New York and passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination in South Carolina.
